One step was not to start to write anything about this book, because I have not said much, but I think, the first (and probably last) public Christian author I read, it is worth say something.
This Present Darkness
Frank Peretti

The book itself is no big deal: a novelilla type thriller with an adventure that goes from entertaining and depressing character development. For there is nothing worth mentioning.
But what the author, in his capacity as a religious fanatic, "adds the book is the Christian component, which gives an essential part of prayer (according to the book is what" scares the hell and enforces the angels) and the existence of supernatural forces that control every aspect of our lives and make us poor sin and give us strength depending on the side where they are.
As book written for teens, blow a lot of little subtle and repulsive that makes subliminal messages every 10 or 20 pages, you feel you want to put the book down. Focusing on how to describe ironically teenagers themselves: A gang of drug offenders with no future solvable only by the most holy Catholic religion. Charming.
"- Cindy and I embrace Christ this weekend.
- Yes! And we take all our drugs down the toilet "
(A teenager in the book and his girlfriend to a priest the" good ")
Moreover, and sadly depressing, is the critique that the author Hindu and Buddhist meditation, and trends "New Age", putting both as nothing short work of the devil to control weak minds who do not pray enough God. And then they talk about respect.
In general, a book that does not happen entretenidillo, and criticizing without any knowledge or reason other faiths, cultures and religions, above, in the name of God. A novelucha of a fanatic who believes that society is good for painting some demons next to Corelli, are little more than ugly and angry Muppet.
What came to mind as a wonderful description of this work is "The DaVinci Code" Christian
Recommended to all those who believe that the pagans and Muslims only attack other religions, those of another religion who need a reason to indignant, and those extremist Christians who need arguments to continue believing what they already believe.
