What Is The Hypothesis For The Dancing Raisins

Wait, Maestro! Fanaticism

Perhaps because of my weird obsession with mental illness, perhaps by the time I decided to read this book, "When my life was taking a 180 degree turn, or simply because I chill the veracity of the author, but I have to say this book impressed me greatly.

The crooked lines of God
Torcuato Luca de Tena.

Alice Gould is admitted to a mental hospital. In his delirium, believed to be a private investigator in charge of a team of detectives dedicated to clarify complicated cases. According to a letter from his physician, the reality is different: his paranoid obsession is endangering the life of her husband. The extreme intelligence of this woman and her attitude apparently normal doctors confused to the point of not knowing for sure whether Alice has been unfairly or have actually entered a serious and dangerous psychological disorder.

Brutal novel about mental illness in which its author, Torcuato Luca de Tena, describes with chilling precision and accuracy to a mental institution from the point of view of a patient-theoretically-sound.

First, before writing the book, and documented, this writer faked his own mental illness and spent 20 days in a manicomnio as one of the patients. This if it does not contribute to the strength of the writing in this book, supporting it with a sad truth.

The book itself is written in simple, direct and precise, leaving a raw and realistic narrative whose quality is reflected in the reality of what is described and the perfectly spinning plot, which makes you doubt from the first to the last page on one end, at least, surprising and unexpected.

The characters, true to the style of Luca de Tena, realistic and relatively shallow: patients with psychiatric cases are real, but also people with feelings and personality, and the nurses and doctors, simple characters more or less important development of the plot.

With the protagonist, Torcuato boasts an ability to description and explanation of the inner world worthy of his earlier book, Pepa Niebla , though rather more briefly, since much of the appeal of this book is the speed with that develop the facts and the factor of the book, for the mean, is short (no more than 200 pages).

In general, a powerful book for its accuracy, interesting and exciting content for its history. A novel that I think everyone should read, at least to be aware of a reality that, like many others, prefer not to know.

Can Ringworm Start Out As A Big Bump?

One step was not to start to write anything about this book, because I have not said much, but I think, the first (and probably last) public Christian author I read, it is worth say something.
This Present Darkness
Frank Peretti

The book itself is no big deal: a novelilla type thriller with an adventure that goes from entertaining and depressing character development. For there is nothing worth mentioning.

But what the author, in his capacity as a religious fanatic, "adds the book is the Christian component, which gives an essential part of prayer (according to the book is what" scares the hell and enforces the angels) and the existence of supernatural forces that control every aspect of our lives and make us poor sin and give us strength depending on the side where they are.

As book written for teens, blow a lot of little subtle and repulsive that makes subliminal messages every 10 or 20 pages, you feel you want to put the book down. Focusing on how to describe ironically teenagers themselves: A gang of drug offenders with no future solvable only by the most holy Catholic religion. Charming.

"- Cindy and I embrace Christ this weekend.
- Yes! And we take all our drugs down the toilet "

(A teenager in the book and his girlfriend to a priest the" good ")

Moreover, and sadly depressing, is the critique that the author Hindu and Buddhist meditation, and trends "New Age", putting both as nothing short work of the devil to control weak minds who do not pray enough God. And then they talk about respect.

In general, a book that does not happen entretenidillo, and criticizing without any knowledge or reason other faiths, cultures and religions, above, in the name of God. A novelucha of a fanatic who believes that society is good for painting some demons next to Corelli, are little more than ugly and angry Muppet.

What came to mind as a wonderful description of this work is "The DaVinci Code" Christian

Recommended to all those who believe that the pagans and Muslims only attack other religions, those of another religion who need a reason to indignant, and those extremist Christians who need arguments to continue believing what they already believe.

How To Tell If A Trench Coat Is Male Of Female

Nyu? Andreas

Yes. This time I decided to get out a little about the subject of books and discuss a series of anime (Japanese animation for those who do not know) (I'll geek ...)
Why? I have several arguments.

First, it is something that I warned would happen, this is a blog which talks about books, but will occasionally different topics, such as series, news, movies, religion or politics.

Secondly, I chose an anime series because, although they have not seen before is not going to believe, are very much more a book than a movie:
In a movie, even with unlimited resources, you have two hours to present, develop and complete a full story, in a book, it is unlimited, and can deepen and give sense to the plot. That is why every time you make a film of a book, this is much worse.

When it comes to series, this problem does not exist: the shortest not lower than 13 chapters (about 20 minutes per section, 240 minutes, which is 4 hours), while the longest pass of the 400. This allows them to develop a deep history, several sub-plots and original characters and defined.

Are there bad? Yes, and usually are those that come to our ears: Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball ... But despite being animated, are not always aimed at young children: Like the books, no mystery, love, terror, war, politics, religion ... What happens is that only the most children are arriving in the European media.

My third reason, and most important, is that this series touched me as few books have done. I went into his story, and made me laugh, mourn, to feel fear and tenderness with the characters. When finished, I felt the void left by typical good books when you finish the last page, this bittersweet aftertaste. In the next week, I could get her out of her head, and the same happened to all the people who recommended it.

For this and the above reasons (and because I feel like it), and without further introduction:

Elfen Lied.

Violence. That is the word that comes to mind first, probably because it begins the series, full of violence and gore. But if you judge a book by its cover, and you still see, it drifts into a story of love, tenderness, passion, remorse, revenge, past and action that goes up and down like a roller coaster.
Violence blood and mutilation becomes progressively physical psychological, and creates a deep, dark environment in which it is difficult not to fall. Elfen Lied

presents diclonius history, a race that differs from humans by two bone-shaped horns on the head, and have a tendency-and power-sadistically killing people. Or at least that's what he thinks the organization is dedicated to finding, taking, experimenting with them and remove them.

The story itself begins with Lucy, a diclonius getting away from the facility, and after an accident and innocent develops a second personality, Nyu. As Nyu meets a boy whose past is Lucy mysteriously joined, repressed in the subconscious of both, in it for a second personality and the trauma it caused him.

And this takes place an overwhelming story of 13 chapters where the darker side of human soul is revealed and breaks off, allowing a contrast between light and darkness, between good and evil that makes the hair stand on end and revives a question remains unchallenged initial: Are you born with evil? Can be bad by nature or is it necessary to learn of humanity?

I will not say more. I teach you the door and you, if you will, of you cross.

Beef Calf Heifer For Sale New York

The
Angel's Game Carlos Ruiz Zafon

A writer never forgets the first time that accepts coins or a compliment in return for history. Never forget the first time you feel the sweet poison of vanity in the blood and think that if anyone gets to discover his lack of talent, the dream of literature will be able to put a roof over his head, a hot plate at the end of day and wants most: his name printed on a miserable piece of paper that probably will outlive him. A writer is doomed remember that time because then it is lost and his soul is priceless.

not been two minutes since I read the last page of this book, I know it is wrong to write a review so early: they are objective only when the memory is still fresh and feelings are forgotten. Even with dried tears in my eyes, is not the case.

This book is the second Zafon writes a series about the Barcelona of "Cemetery of Forgotten Books." It is a sinister story, full of lights and shadows, illusions and hopes, and revenge and resentment, of mystery, love, friendship and betrayal.
much darker than its predecessor, The Angel's Game speaks of David Martin, a young writer born with the century you know a publisher with a proposal that will envelop you in a dark spiral in which, when he realizes that he must leave it is already too late.

Many critics have heard of this book, most of them, of course, compared with Shadow of the Wind: Some say it is better, others worse, but I really do not think they are comparable in quality. After reading me both almost in succession, this is what, in my poor opinion, the difference

The most obvious to me is the storyline: While in the Shadow of the Wind was the story of many characters, Daniel, Fermín Julian, Nuria, and was given much more emphasis on secondary stories in The Angel's Game Zafón focuses on one character most of the time, David.
This, in my opinion, this may take a little diversity to the history and character, the secondary characters, but instead gives one hand, much more plot development, and secondly, a lot more depth to the character (remember that Daniel was little more than a witness of history and his personality rather throw a null)

Another difference lies in the story: While in the Shadow of the Wind A tale was romantic, sad and exciting, this book draws a much more mysterious and spooky, full of questions and finishes masterfully unfinished, in which the reader will rack their brains trying to figure out what is really going on. This ambiguity, which remains virtually from start to finish sustained by mind games, is for me one of the highlights of the book.

In the style we a Zafon (because Zafón is Zafón) much darker than dramatic, which is immersing a novel in which even light are shadows in disguise, a novel where you feel the disease, fear and uncertainty of the protagonist, who first time in many books is a normal person, with flaws and mistakes, and not a hero, or a holy innocent, as is the case with other novels Zafón.

Finally I have to say to those who will read it, and have read the above, to take the trouble to be fixed in time and find links to each of the other novels Zafon (The Shadow of the Wind The Prince of Mist ...) and winks the author is doing to them. Special interest is to deduce who is who in the Semple family. You have earned a surprise.

In general, one of the masterpieces of Carlos Ruiz Zafon, which has nothing to envy, however different it is, the Shadow of the Wind and whose mystery no rest stop readers from page one to read exciting denouement, with its distinctive signature, this work is a book Zafón anyone who can understand going to enjoy very much.

Rating: 9 / 10.
