The opposite of fear is faith
The last post this year has to do with what is happening in Venezuela these days. And do not write to echo what has already been said many times, that now we openly lined up to communism, which obviated the Enabling Act Chávez democratic rules and ignored the popular will expressed through our vote on 26 September, it's time to run or climb. Anyway.

Can Can Wool Wholesalers
My analysis of what is happening is perhaps naive and simplistic. I believe that in Venezuela the thing is so bad that is starting to get good. Because this draft country We want to get to swear that Scott tablespoon emulsion is untenable, delirious, and contrary to our essence as Venezuelans. I think if this has been sustained so far is because we have not bottomed out and (so bizarre that it seems to us) have not all serious incidents occurred in which we live until we awake to a new country that we are giving birth. Because at the turn violent rudder is forcing the government still need to occur very ugly things. I hate to say, as a citizen, like Venezuela, as a lawyer. But I think the worst is yet to be seen. Because we finally got to now or never the revolution and that generates a lot of fear, side and side.
But the opposite of fear is faith. What? That in spite of everything that comes in 2011 will find space to continue fighting against abuses of authority, which will maintain the dignity, we will grow even more as civil society, and eventually succeed in reunifying the country around a target common: the real Venezuela plural, free and fair we all want.
How to survive in the meantime? I think that 2011 is a year of profound reflection. We state again the center, the essence of things: hard work, thrift, family and close friends. I propose to lower the profile, be easier than ever. Continue to promote democracy and free thought in the street, from homes and offices. Invited to fight barbarism with information, reading, and dissemination of news.
Sometimes the only way to attack is not surrendering. I invite the citizens' resistance, peaceful and dignified. And, to paraphrase the great César Miguel Rondón, we all have the best possible 2011.
Merry Christmas, see you año que viene (si Dios quiere, y si la nueva ley Resorte que regula internet y el presente blog, lo permite).

Diagram How Sailboat Works
Best of 2010
try to decide for two or three formidable events which have marked the Renaissance stage now experience. And I'm tempted to promote on my list to those who showed me the way I think back to what had always been, or what had been there, and temporarily lost sight of. Perhaps the job that threw me back to the street, the public kiss that reminded me of the sweet taste of the unexpected, or long and relaxed journey through the most enlightened city in the world, reconciled me with strangers.
But I think a little better and I suddenly realize that it is not. My happiness has not lately been preceded by any fanfare. Has been more of a whisper, a song very softly which has served as a prelude to greater things. That life made me the slightest sign before me out of the foreign place where they had gone. Surely not, but sometimes I feel it was as sudden as if he had beaten three times on the heels of my shoes and the Wizard of Oz I had returned home, mercifully.
Then, the best of 2010 there was nothing concrete, but the sum of everything. It was discovered some tricks that I had been avoiding for a long time, and that true strength lies in the simple things that should be approached with great humility. And the other thing is to have re-learned to be happy, even from somebody else.
still make many errors and ego betrays me almost daily, into the center of the circle when I met and the benefits of staying in the modest suburbs. But hey, I'm not the Dalai Lama is not it?. One is who he is, and if it persists, a little better than that.
As I write these lines ringing in my new, super powerful Ipod the melodious voice of Michael Bublé and I decide something: Unless George Clooney falls in love with me in the remaining 21 days a year, perhaps the best thing 2010 will be having listened to Bublé singing live. That's how basic it.

Gift Wrap Midway Ga Open
okay (for Christian M.)
nothing frighten you Everything passes God lacks nothing God alone suffices
Ok. Okay. Lately I have become vague, and have yielded Flojet fatigue. Mea culpa, mea culpa, blame me.
Sorry, Christian. When most needed my post to lighten the burden of existence, you met the same as last month. That fixed the eyes watching you, carrying on their shoulders the heavy burden of being the only post November. Insignificant, superficial, non-fun. Also valid claim this morning at breakfast (I forgive you because I love you so much, but I warn you not easily tolerate the harsh criticism and early-morning, Sunday).
The blog is to nurture. I could write much tonight, where I come home so gentle, so relaxed and so subtly drunk (of happiness and red wine) after a lunch of many hours with my friends forever, ever. Could also write about friends Bogota hotel owners, invaded with impunity on account of national emergency by the rains, with three floors occupied by victims who eat and sleep there for long days, no one pays for it. Pay God, and I hope you of the change. This is a "charity" coerced under the veiled threat of expropriation. Or associates, or you take it off. " And there they go. Here we go, as a country.
Forgive me, friend. Being tired. Because of the muses have scared the rain. By anxiety. Not knowing what to expect my post , or whatever you comforted me. If I give you something, I can give at this point in your life my favorite prayer of St. Teresa:
"Nothing will disturb
move
Patience
reaches all
who has God
. "
May the Force be with you.

" Although it is too early to offer some meaningful perspective on the impact of the revelations of WikiLeaks American foreign policy is not too early to think about what they say diplomatic messages that slipped on the public's understanding of how diplomacy works.
WikiLeaks The justification for disclosing confidential material from the State Department is that while the public more aware about how the government conducts its foreign policy, the better the outcome of the application. This is an old idea: Woodrow Wilson advocated "opening clauses of peace, openly negotiated." But history also shows that open diplomacy often ends up being fatally flawed.
The secret is an essential part of any negotiation: no merger, complex legal transaction, amicable divorce or serious political agreement can be reached any time without a reliable level of confidentiality.
But in no other area is more essential secrecy in foreign relations. For example, if the various diplomats who negotiated the end of the Cold War and the unification of Germany would have had to deal with public revelations about the disagreements, half-baked proposals and reckless language of internal communications - as Margaret Thatcher's opposition to German unification versus the determination of Helmut Kohl had been impossible to achieve "substantial talks.
The secret was also vital after the First World War. After a debilitating series of information leaks, the leaders of the four victorious nations, especially Britain, France, Italy and the United States abandoned its policy of open diplomacy and locked in closed meetings. Only then was it able to overcome the difficult Details of the Treaty of Versailles and reach a final peace, but relatively short.
WikiLeaks 's revelations have been applauded by many who think that this will make government more accountable and therefore improve the U.S. foreign policy. In contrast, revelations like these just make those who hold power over even hide in the shadows to defend themselves and defend their positions. Taken into account as Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger were isolated from all but his closest circle of advisers, when they were published the Pentagon Papers.
To be fair, there may be value in making disclosures strategically calculated over time. For example, in 1870 Otto von Bismarck, Minister-President of Prussia, made casting a confidential communication from King Wilhelm I on his meeting with French ambassador. Bismarck had edited the document to give the impression that France had made a demand unacceptable to the King (which was true) and that Wilhelm had shown him the exit door rudely Ambassador (which was not true).
Bismarck's move put first-hand the honor of both nations and up nationalist passions on both sides, making existing crisis escalates up to a war that ended with a Prussian victory total, which fulfilled the objective of increasing Bismarck Prussian power in central Europe.
Whatever one might make of the strategy of Bismarck, calculated and aimed his revelations, served well its purpose. But revealing confidential diplomatic information to influence foreign nations, either by governments or unauthorized individuals, is like using dynamite in a construction zone. Can be effective, if done by experts and after a careful analysis of the risks involved, as part of a fly hill to build a road.
But the revelations of WikiLeaks, on a scale to my knowledge is unprecedented in history, are a totally different - more like the work of irresponsible amateurs using dynamite to open a tunnel that contains say, the electrical wiring in the city. The revelations are unlikely to cause a war, or even a serious crisis, but much harm American diplomatic machinery, processes and reputation.
None of this means that the correspondence and diplomatic negotiations should be secret forever. But except in special instances, confidential communications must be disclosed only after the passions have settled and scholars can examine the information in a broader context.
Especially in a democracy, the goal of negotiations should be to reach agreement unnoticed, followed by ratification or rejection by elected legislators. In other words, opening clauses of peace, negotiated secretly. "
