Whenever I can, I am of those who used to play football (soccer for Americans) twice a week, three months ago in one of those games a week, in a play face to face with my friend Dario, who not support that ten years older than him overcome within the field, (if you read this I hope will not get mad Dario) had a bad move that caused the ligaments in my knee is breaking ending.
After seeing the doctor I met with the news that would not listen, the only alternative was to rebuild my knee operation.
I decided to do it and today I am in full recovery stage with me everywhere carrying three new nails in my knee which serve as fixing the new ligament.
This led me to spend many days in bed rest, and made me get out of the daily rhythm of our activities on us. After nearly a month of rest I went back looking forward to my usual rhythm of life.
But there was something that struck me was that it was hard to adapt very much to return to my usual pace, as they usually spend many hours in different activities, labor, training courses, in the family, etc.
Being so well known to me the major differences to be many days of rest and going back to almost nothing can not stand I started thinking about our investment of time.
I have friends much more capable than me, and that work as helped me grow a lot, and the fundamental characteristic is that they spend many hours of their lives studying formed to have a college degree, and then other masters that enable new career opportunities that they can grow even more. But for these securities the situation makes it necessary to invest many hours of study and preparation.
Others, among whom I count myself, we spent many hours of our life in our work, trying to be efficient, enabling us all to get a progress that we can offer perhaps a better future.
is also common that we have the desire to invest time in our families and friends, all to enhance bonding so important to us as individuals.
Not to mention many others, these are just some examples of how we invest our time.
But what caught my reflection was the proportion thinking that we are like the people are very bad time managers.
try to base my thoughts a little better. According to Christian beliefs, were created by God as eternal beings, to plan beyond our days on earth, but in most cases we invest all our time planning and designing only for the days we play live here, but if we consider that we are a ready to live for eternity I believe it is extremely necessary that we have only some of our time to plan about when the last of our days.
The truth that I am not of those who emphasize their messages saying there is a heaven and a place of eternal suffering, nor live thinking when is the day of my death, but beyond that I like or do not talk about it, these places or situations not cease to exist because I try to ignore or another.
remember what Jesus said
"Verily verily I say unto you, He that hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and shall not come into condemnation but has passed from death to life."
When God thought of us did with the project to live a near eternity He, however, only invest our time in a myriad of activities, many of them very healthy, but only we project or prepare for a very small part of life for which we were designed.
For eternal life is not to make any sacrifice, only to hear the word of God and believe in Jesus, understanding that hear and believe means to follow him.
Today more than ever I believe it appropriate to ask.
Invest some time to prepare for life after life? If the answer is no, I would say we're still in times of grace where Jesus wants to give you eternal life. Something that cost
much pain and suffering, but that is given only by believing.
is so great and inexplicable, that is the essence of our God.
